Fargo ComicCon

We found out about this con last minute. Here’s a lazy pink ranger costume I put together for it. The con kind of sucked, but the hubby and I still had fun.

Avert not thine eyes

I decided to rewatch  Trinity Blood for my three day weekend.

I love this series, the anime, the manga, both novel series…. I love it.

I’m a little bummed out that the manga and novel series never were finished being translated into English, but it really doesn’t stop me from enjoying it.

I’m told that if you enjoy Trigun or Hellsing you’ll like Trinity Blood but, I haven’t really seen either. Unless you count Hellsing abridged:

I’m not the type of girl to typically fangirl over vampires, but I will over crusniks:

The main character of this series is Father Able Nightroad, he is a crusnik, which is a vampire that feasts on the blood of vampires. He’s kind hearted, clumsy, bad with money, blind as a bat with out his glasses, and constantly hungry. Unless you get on his bad side.

This is a post apocalyptic series that appears to be Vatican vs vampires on the surface, but there is a secret organization manipulating everyone.

If you haven’t seen it I highly recommend it, if you have and liked it who’s your favorite character? Mine is Able if that wasn’t obvious.

Happy random greeting card holiday!

I’m not a big fan of Valentine’s Day. Not in the Queensryche “I Don’t Believe in Love” sort of way, Februarys just tend to be bad. My mom served my dad with divorce papers on Valentine’s day when I was a kid, I had a few people that I really care about attempt suicide in Februarys past, and some other stuff I really don’t want to talk about happened as well.

This year, I decided to try not to be such a downer about it.

I participated in Valentine card swap.

What I sent out:

^I had a blast making them, also sent them out to my regular penpals as well.

What I got back:

^These are awesome and so creative, I’m so glad I did this.

I also baked cupcakes for all the guys I work with (guys as in I’m the only girl).  They loved them. That made me happy, because when I brought cupcakes into my old office, I got chewed out for bringing in unhealthy food too work.

Oh, here’s what my hubby gave me as a present:

Gundams last longer than roses. ^-^

Oh and for everyone reading this, free hugs. Especially if you need a few extra this weekend.

That time of year again

Published February 12, 2014 by kemeah

So it’s that time of year again where my work does their annual fitness challenge.

Don’t get me wrong, I actually enjoy working out. I love dancing, weight lifting, martial arts, long walks, yoga, etc.

I just hate putting numbers to it and making it a competition. I’ve been called fat plenty of times, I’ve been afraid to eat in front of my coworkers because they always had some snarky comment to make about what ever it was, I’ve been told my best isn’t good enough because it doesn’t match someone else’s, and I’ve collapsed at work because I decided not to eat. I hate when people get so caught up in an idea of perfection that they have to put others down to feel better about themselves.

Then why participate you ask?

-My coworkers are doing it and I want to cheer them on

-I’m working out anyway, I might as well write it down

-Between my fitness eval and the con I’m going to in a few months, its not going to hurt me to step it up a notch.

-I’m finally able to do a wider range of exercises with my physical therapy (still can’t run though).

Well, that being said, if anyone needs a cheerleader/positive motivator to cheer them on for their goal, I have to use my myfitnesspal account for the competition so feel free to add me. My username is: kge520.

Well, thanks for putting up with me complaining for a few minutes. Here’s a pic of me doing a closet cosplay of the pink power ranger to make up for it:
