I miss playing D&D. Maybe with this I can convince people to play with me.
^this has to be my favorite card from Munchkin Apocalypse.
Ever since our GM moved away are group kinda has lost cohesion. You got the one guy who’s only there to mooch the free wifi, the asshole who was only there because he was friends with the GM, two guys (my hubby being 1) who are more interested in playing Warhammer than with us, me… the girl… the one that new people want to accuse of being dragged there by my hubby (I’m one of the group founders) and the one the rest of them want to insult me for being married to my hubby, and there’s a couple of other guy’s who just want to play.
I’m not sure if I belong there anymore; I’ll keep going because the hubby is finally making friends, but that’s about it. I do love games. Especially Munchkin, I have so many versions of it. I guess its not for everyone though.
Well, sorry for complaining for a bit. I hope you got a giggle out of the Munchkin card.
So I’m off work today since it’s the 4th of July, the hubby’s at work, it’s raining, and I don’t really have anyone to hang out with around here. So I fell to my default time waster when I’m home alone:
Yes, I’m wandering around the house as Fiona the human (sorry about the pic quality, its off my friend’s webcam). I even have cake:
So I absolutely love my best friend; I bought the Finn and Jake starter set for Card Wars a few weeks back.
My bestie went out and got the Lady and Bemo decks so he could play with me. Just one thing, he doesn’t even live in the same time zone as me. So we played over Skype:
Here are my two decks, sitting on my laptop. Its kind of hard to play over Skype, we can’t really see each other’s cards in play. We still had a blast playing it.
So, if you haven’t tried this game out yet it’s a card game based off of one episode of Adventure Time. It plays a lot like a simplified version of Magic the Gathering, so if you’ve played that this is super easy to pick up. We played with the “official” character decks, but you can mix and match to build your own deck (just make sure you have the right lands for it).
There’s also an app for this game; I downloaded it on a day Amazon was offering it for free. It plays mostly the same way and did help me figure out how to play the table top version, but I don’t think I’d pay the regular price apple/google/amazon ask for it…. For what they want for it you can buy a booster pack for the table top game, lol.
So, if you’re an Adventure Time fan and looking for a new card game to play this is pretty fun. The starter box is about $20, we both found ours at our respective local games stores.
Well, that’s it for now. Thanks for reading!
